Mindly (mind mapping) App Reviews

Streamlined & creative

I love this app. I was looking for something to organize my ideas and thoughts instead of just listing or itemizing them in a notebook type of platform. I found Mindly and found it to be very helpful in organizing ideas and structuring my thoughts. The app allows you to create a bubble for each idea (primary) - the bubble spiders out to multiple smaller bubbles (secondary) that you can fill with your thoughts, suggestion or anything that comes to mind about your primary idea. Those secondary bubbles can be spidered out tertiary thoughts. The level of thoughts is infinite. What I found most useful: 1) you can view you thoughts and idea in a quick view and delve deeper if you choose with the simple graphics. 2) streamlined interface. 3) small program size (less that 20mb). 4) encourage the structuring and organization of thoughts and not just mindlessly writing. 5) ease of moving thoughts to different ideas, if you made mistakes. (no need to copy/paste) 6) add links, pics to supplement your text. One suggestion: maybe add a reminder to encourage me to finish my project, or just a general reminder option would be perfect. I had downloaded the free app and loved it so much that I upgraded. I dont know whats the difference between the Mindly Plus and the upgraded Mindly, but Im happy.

Creative one

This application is really usefull for me and it works like charm for me. I really enjoyed using this application.this application has some advantages which you use regularly. Thanks for sharing with us

Great app!

I love it. It provides a great tool to develop your ideas and evan expand and restructure them into real project plans. I love the way you can export your map as pdf which then lists the notes in a nice order. I think it would be great if the images could be included along with the notes. That would really make things perfect. Love it and recommend it.

INCREDIBLE APP!

Okay, Ive used other mind mapping apps and quickly discarded them. They were too complicated and heavy. But Mindly is a dream! Ive yearned for one central "file cabinet" for all my ideas related to a massive project, and FINALLY I found "the one." Its like finding my soulmate. Someone not only understands the way I think but simplified the process of capturing and organizing all those mental notes. I love, love, LOVE this app! Heres why: first of all it thinks in both linear and circular terms; it groups items together in clusters (circular) but uses layers to go deeper (linear). Second, its visual; I add colors and icons to trigger instant memory recognition. Third, its simple; they create the bubbles for me without making me create the bubble, shift it around, create arrows between bubbles, and other such tedium. Fourth, its quick. If youre looking to capture and organize your thoughts, this baby is it! I have zero connection with any of the creators (just looked up their names today), and get nada for my raving review (though Im open to a free upgrade...hint, hint). Im simply a full blown fan and want others to feel the joy. (Did I mention I LOVE this app?). Currently Im using the free version but will upgrade soon. Get the app--youll love it, too!

Changing my review

Still four stars, and still fantastic app with limited ability to work cross platform as its only downfall. Try taking notes with this -- youll be impressed at what a revolutionary note taking tool it is and how mindlessly it adapts to your work.

Beautiful

This app is a fresh view on organizing thoughts!

Best Organization App

Easy to use. Has revolutionized my professional and personal life!

Love this concept

The app is one of my favorite planners. The biggest drawback is that theres no online version you can use to update things on your computer. The computer app is far too expensive - $30

Wonderful!

I love this app. Its easy to use, nice manipulation, great color scheme, and I love the capability to spin it to position things as youd like.

Amazing

I have used many apps like this and have never found one that is truly seamless to use or one that I actually kept. This app is. Its fantastic for organizing hierarchical data. One of my most used apps now

Someone finally cracked the code on mindmapping

Ive tried no fewer than five other mindmapping apps and software offerings. Mindly nails it. So easy to use and manage. Intuitive so you can get right into it. As you play with it, additional functionality comes naturally; e.g., click and drag items on the same level to subordinate to another. Id recommend it to anyone interested in more productive mindmapping. I use it daily.

Awesome!

It is a wonderfully perfect app,but the computer version is too expensive..

Awesome, but needs encryption

This app is awesome. However, it is a huge problem that user data is not encrypted. I am disappointed by this since the users will be entering confidential information. I realize that you guys tell users not to enter confidential information like credit card numbers in, but the nature of the data entered here is personal and absolutely should be encrypted HEAVILY. A warning to users, if you are using the iCloud feature, be warned that your personal mind maps are being stored on Apples servers UNENCRYPTED. I recommend disabling iCloud for this application until the developers add an encryption feature. I will change my rating to 5 stars if encryption is added. Note, the passcode is not the same as actually encrypting the data.

Beautiful Mind Maps

I love this tool so far. I paid for the full version without hesitation. Visually stunning. Fluid workflow. Intuitive interface. Helpful for organizing software testing, brainstorming and other projects. Two feature requests: 1) Ability to visually link nodes from different branches on the mind map 2) Ability to broadcast maps and display them interactively for presentation on Chromecast and AppleTV.

I was liking it...

... until I spent an hour on a map of a website Im designing, went out to the apps home, went back in and found that every connection not connected to the main node was gone. One of the four connections from the main node was also gone. The reason I went out in the first place was because the app stopped allowing me to move/copy nodes.
